IT Spending Up in 2007

Buy- and sell-side securities and investment organizations in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific have spent $74 billion on information technology in 2007, according to a white paper recently released by industry research firm Celent. In a similar study put out by Kimsey Consulting on trading technology spending, the authors indicate that the global expenditure on trading and related technology and services was $45.8 billion over the same period.
