FCA: Consolidated tape for UK equities won’t happen until 2028

At an event last week, the FCA proposed a new timeline for the CT, which received pushback from participants, according to sources.

At a closed-door industry roundtable last week, an executive from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said the consolidated tape for UK equities will likely go live in 2028, according to several sources who attended the event. Hopes were that the project would coincide with the debut of the EU equities tape, some bidders for which project a go-live date in second quarter of 2026.
