Nasdaq Purchases Financial Systemware

WASHINGTON, DC--The Nasdaq Stock Market has purchased Financial Systemware from Fleet Boston Financial Corp. Included was Fleet Boston’s Tools of the Trade. Terms were not disclosed.
Tools of the Trade was the main ingredient in the deal and will become known as Nasdaq Tools. It will bring order routing and quote management features to Nasdaq that allow market makers to streamline the process of order entry and execution.
