Citynet Provides Details On New Protocol For Sending Market Data Over The 'Net

MARKET DATA DISTRIBUTION

LONDON--Citynet, the Sunbury, UK-based financial systems vendor, has published a white paper outlining RTTP, its proposed "universal protocol for financial data on the Internet".

The paper was debuted at the "Market Data Off The Trading Floor" event organized by Waters Information Services and held in London last Thursday (see separate story, this issue).

RTTP--which stands for Real Time Trading Protocol--is "an object-oriented server-push protocol for the distribution of streaming market data
