Derivatives Growth Drives Mark-It to Buy Totem

Mark-it Partners, a St. Albans, UK-based provider of credit pricing data, is to buy Totem Market Valuations, a London-based vendor of OTC derivatives valuations. The two privately-owned companies say that together they will be able to attract a broader customer base and increase the range of services they offer.
Officials say the growth in OTC derivative markets – especially the rapidly developing business of structuring multi-asset trades – has driven the need for wider product coverage.
