Ecowin Faces Takeover Rumors

The management of Swedish data vendor Ecowin has denied that it is in negotiations to sell the company to either FactSet Research Systems or Thomson Financial, following claims made by several industry sources to Inside Market Data.
Sources close to the situation say that a deal could be completed within two months, and that FactSet is emerging as the preferred—and more determined—bidder.
Thomson Financial officials decline comment, citing company policy never to comment on acquisition rumors
