BME is the operator of all stock markets and financial systems in Spain.

As the settlement lifecycle is expected to change in Q4 2015 as part of the implementation of the Spanish Market Reform, BME will provide a platform that will allow its members to access its central counterparties (CCPs), its BME Clearing service, and its Central Securities Depository (CSD), Iberclear. The platform will help members with transaction monitoring and management of settlement and registration.

The enhanced post-trade, clearing and depository services will also help firms through the planned connection to T2S.

BME also added a protocol to connect to Visual Trader, its routing technology subsidiary, to allow trading members to access information about customer securities and assets, as well as about the risks arising from transactions pending settlement.
