Although the US economy may be set to recover and bounce back faster than other markets around the globe, there is a growing consensus that this crisis has a label that reads "Made in America." In the past, that meant top quality and great value; now it usually means the latest bloated Hollywood blockbuster, a lackluster Detroit automobile, or a financial scandal that started when someone had the bright idea to sell rotten mortgages as securities and insure them with credit default swaps.
