Lehman's Fixed-Income Database Cured Of 'Critical Bottleneck'

Lehman Brothers Inc.'s fixed-income analytics group solved a major database management system performance problem apparently without causing major trauma to the firm's bottom line. The firm's full community of bond traders in New York relies on the database, which provides prices to a range of applications.

Word of the bond database upgrade emerged in an article published last month in the computer industry journal Database Programming & Design. The article was authored by three Lehman developers
