Optimark System Launches Via The Pacific Exchange

SAN FRANCISCO--At press time, the Optimark Trading System, an anonymous order-matching and execution platform from Optimark Technologies, was expected to launch on Friday, January 29, via the Pacific Exchange (PCX)--almost two-and-a-half years after the system was first promoted.

More than 100 "trade-ready" buyside and sellside firms will be able to participate, says Jeffrey Max, a senior vice president for Optimark. "This is kind of like a moonshot. It's a vastly complex project," says Max
