Reuters Sues, Then Settles With IPC Over MXNet As IXNet Files For IPO

NEW YORK--IXNet has withdrawn from its tough stance against Reuters, in which the IPC Information Systems subsidiary threatened to pull the plug on more than 100 Reuters customers for which it provides network services.

Simultaneously, IXNet has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to finance the expansion of its global extranet services.

The sides have settled after Reuters filed suit and secured a temporary injunction on May 20 that
