The continuing rise of electronic broking in Tokyo has driven Hatori-Marshall to close its dollar/yen spot brokerage desk. The broker's withdrawal offers evidence of the momentum gained by screen brokerage in Japan following the merger of the EBS and Minex FX order-matching systems earlier this year (D&IS, 25 March).
