FIX, CMS Links Coming to SIAC Data

NEW YORK--Officials at the Securities Industry Automation Corp. (SIAC) are on the verge of opening up SIAC’s revamped data formats to the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol and other industry-wide links.
Several releases into a massive data-redefinition project, SIAC is adding a translation layer between the FIX and Common Message Switch (CMS) protocols and what it calls "The Canonical Format," a common data format that will serve all of SIAC’s applications and databases. SIAC
