Following its recent acquisition of Yago Systems, of Sunnyvale, California (TTW, January 26), Cabletron Systems, of Rochester, New Hampshire, outlined its product plans for the Yago technology. Cabletron intends to incorporate Yago's hybrid network switch/router products into its Smartswitch 9000 product line. The Yago-inspired devices, to be dubbed Smartswitch Routers, will be available in eight and 16-slot versions, and should be shipping by the summer.
