CME Bets On European Market, Adds 6 Hubs

CHICAGO--The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), capitalizing on the success of its London telecom hub, will expand its European presence with six new telecommunications hubs by the end of Q1 2004, officials say.

CME’s hub in London, established in 2001, has now drawn 40 new subscribers to the Globex electronic trading platform. By establishing hubs in six cities--the identities of which will be finalized and disclosed by the end of the month--CME officials hope to make their market more
