Sometimes, even when you think you're in the clear, you're not. Last year, Micrognosis Inc. stepped in just before the buzzer and saved FD Consulting Inc. from bankruptcy by shelling out some $5.5 million, and paying off what seemed like all of FD's debt. End of story, right?
Not quite. Sources say that in the years prior to the Micrognosis buy-out, the Staten Island-based FD set up what one source calls a "phantom" New Jersey office at former FD executive vice president Charles Leing's Manalapan
