More details have emerged of the risk management systems in place--or not in place, as it turns out--at Baring Securities' Singapore office.
The network that was designed to support Baring Securities' global risk systems had not been extended to its Singapore office at the time of the futures and options trades that brought the company to within an inch of its life earlier this year. That network, known internally as Boris, for Baring Order Routing and Information System, carried the firm's order
