IBM/First Boston Spin-Off Pitches NTPA, Case Tools

First Boston Corp.'s trading systems architecture, along with the home-grown CASE package on which it was built, will be pitched by a new company called Seer Technologies, Inc. Seer will market and maintain NewArc 2000, the global trade-processing and risk management system developed by First Boston. It will also market and continue to develop HPS (High Productivity Systems), First Boston's CASE tool set for applications development.

While NewArc 2000 is touted as a front-to-back-office solution
