EDS, YAMAICHI END TALKS TO HIRE 600 STAFF
No sooner had Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Japan announced that it would hire the 600 employees of Yamaichi Information Systems (YIS), than it reversed its decision last Thursday. The two companies issued a joint statement saying they had "reached an agreement to terminate the negotiation concerning the transfer of all 600 employees of YIS [because] both parties agreed that it would be unlikely to reach agreement in all conditions concerning the transfer
