Open Horizon, Maker Of Ambrosia Middleware, Goes Out Of Business

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO--Citing stiff competition with Tibco and the retreat of venture capitalists, Open Horizon, maker of the Ambrosia middleware, has gone out of business as of April 6, say industry sources.
As far as financial markets are concerned, Open Horizon, of South San Francisco, California, lost its battle against Tibco and its TIB/Rendezvous publish/subscribe messaging middleware, say sources. The smaller firm's departure leaves Tibco with far fewer competitors in the messaging
