Derivatives System Set For May Launch With TIB/Mercury-Based "Blackbird"
TRANSACTION SYSTEMS
CHARLOTTE, N.C.--A new IP-based transaction system for OTC derivatives trading, dubbed Blackbird, is slated to get underway by May, say officials at Derivatives Net Inc. (DNI), the Charlotte, North Carolina-based developers of the new platform.
When it's up and running, the Blackbird platform will serve as an intranet-based alternative to voice broker trading, although there will be some overlap with the services of the Electronic Broking System (EBS) and its competitor, the Reuters Dealing 2000
