CSK Takes Loss, 'Realigns' Micrognosis; Analyst in Tokyo Says Unit Will Close

CSK will shut down Micrognosis' operations in January because Micrognosis has cost the parent company a cumulative $90 million since its acquisition in 1990, according to Mitsuko Morita, an analyst with Morgan Stanley in Tokyo. However, CSK Software president and Micrognosis chief Gerry Giblin denies that the unit will be shut down, although he does note that the name will be deemphasized--but not eliminated.
