Prudential Securities Picks Reuters' Triarch 2000 (And IBM) In A Tough Loss For Micrognosis' Mips

In a decision that has taken many in the industry by surprise, Prudential Securities Inc. has rejected Micrognosis Inc.'s Mips digital data distribution system and has instead gone ahead and selected Reuters' Triarch 2000, supplemented by its Prism video switch. At stake were 600- plus trading room positions at Prudential's New York headquarters -- as well as one of the last big Wall Street accounts to select its market data distribution infrastructure.
