Tibco's TIB Is The Common Thread For RBC, BMO As Duo Plans Merger

TORONTO--As they prepare to merge, about the only major trading technology that the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and the Bank of Montreal (BMO) have in common are extensive installations of Tibco's The Information Bus (TIB).
The proposed merger would combine the trading technologies of both banks as well as their investment banking units.
If approved by the Canadian government, the proposed merger would result in a $12 billion bank that would be among the top 10 banks in North America, say industry
