Two California companies will soon be walking down the aisle. Borland International, of Scotts Valley, announced last week at the COMDEX show in Las Vegas, Nevada, that it will be acquiring object request broker (ORB) vendor Visigenic Software, of San Mateo. The deal, a $140 million stock swap, will be complete sometime during the first quarter of next year. Among other goodies, Borland will get Visigenic's Visibroker for Java and Visibroker for C++ as well as Visigenic's founder Roger Sippl
