Digital Equipment Corporation will adapt Bristol Technology's Windows API on OpenVMS and Unix (Wind/U) for its OpenVMS operating system. Digital intends to include Wind/U in its next release of OpenVMS--due later this year--to give OpenVMS users the ability to write and distribute applications throughout their environments. OpenVMS is the version of Digital's VMS that supports industry standards; VMS is the venerable, proprietary operating system for Digital's VAX and Alpha hardware
