New 50-Position Floor In Singapore, Commerzbank Centralizes CPUs, Leaves Traders With Monitors, Mouses & Muxes

Commerzbank has removed CPUs from its new 50-position trading floor and centralized them in a control room to improve trading room systems maintenance, performance and security, says Alice Tan, the bank's EDP manager in Singapore. The traders are left with monitors, keyboards, mouses and networking equipment that enable them to access concentrated CPU power.
The CPU exodus is part of the bank's plan to revamp its front-end, desktop systems architecture via CSK Software subsidiary Magenta Research
