NYSE TESTS VOICE RECOGNITION SYSTEM
The NYSE has kicked off a beta test of the speech recognition technology from Ficomp Systems, of Dayton, New Jersey. The speech recognition pilot program was begun with the goal of conducting a live trading floor test. "We began the initial beta test in May, which ran in the NYSE's lab for 90 days," says Gary Richman, president and CEO of Ficomp. "We anticipate a live floor test by the end of this year." Ficomp is due back to review the results in a few months
