Danske Deploys Common IT Backbone

COPENHAGEN--Danske Bank has just completed a six-year project to provide a common, mainframe-centered IT infrastructure for its branches and subsidiaries, affecting approximately 1,000 traders, bank officials tell TTW.

The project will give the bank streamlined IT management across its trading, accounting, reporting, Internet banking and cashier operations. Overall, the revamped infrastructure will affect 15,000 bank employees.

The new infrastructure will make it easier to support systems
