 Nomura International has kicked off applications development of Hoodini, a new Europe-wide front-, middle- and back-office system that will combine object-oriented and relational database technology. Nomura International's managing director for information systems Geoff Doubleday told D&IS sister publication Risk Management Operations that the firm plans to have Hoodini up and running in London by the end of the year. The Japanese subsidiary will retain its existing Sybase database management
