Morgan Stanley Buys Global License For LMT's Expo; New CIO Kevin Parker Looks To Centralize Technology

Morgan Stanley & Co., in a departure from its practice of not buying off-the-shelf software, has purchased a global license to Leading Market Technologies Inc.'s Expo graphical spreadsheet. The signing of the deal -- which took place two weeks ago -- coincided with a move by the firm to centralize its approach to managing technology, including trading room systems.
The technology reorganization effort is being led by two managing directors: newly appointed chief information officer Kevin Parker
