The International (London) Stock Exchange brings into force this week the first in a series of rule changes that it hopes will boost the market's visibility, tighten surveillance and alleviate problems resulting from publication requirements.

The rule changes, proposed by the exchange's Domestic Equity Market Committee early last month, were contained in an interim report of a review of the market begun last December and scheduled for completion on March 31. Also on the agenda of the review is
