EBS Blocks Citi's Proposed Sale Of CDR To Welsh Carson; Will EBS Take CDR Itself?

Citicorp and Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe have been sent back to the negotiating table after the EBS Partnership rejected a proposed deal to sell Citi's Citicorp Dealing Resources to Welsh Carson's Global Financial Information Corp. (GFI) This is not the first time that WCAS has been rebuffed in an attempt to strike a deal for CDR. A deal was made late last year, but foundered because the EBS member banks had not given approval.
