Nationsbank Buys Sybase License To Support Enterprise-Wide OPS
MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY
Nationsbank has purchased an enterprise license to deploy relational database management software from Sybase Inc. With this deal, the Charlotte, N.C.-based bank looks to consolidate its database systems and to put in place a consistent service arrangement for its diverse operating units. Though the deal was negotiated centrally, the decision to buy the enterprise license was driven largely by the needs of the bank's individual business units -- many of which had already deployed Sybase
