Nomura Debuts Its Object-Relational Engine For Front, Middle And Back Offices

LONDON--Nomura International is rolling out a new IT framework, dubbed Hoodini, that is based upon relational and object-oriented databases, and will serve the front, middle and back offices of the bank.

Hoodini is already up and running for Nomura's dollar/yen business. The remaining non-yen businesses at the bank will go live, along with the accounting functions, by the end of March.
