Eurex Pushing for Feb. 1 Debut in the U.S.

CHICAGO--As Eurex pushes ahead with its plans to establish a new derivatives exchange in the U.S., rival exchanges are also gearing up for a global battle royale.

As detailed last week, the new Eurex U.S. futures exchange will go live in the U.S. Feb. 1, 2004, say Eurex officials who alerted the Commodities and Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to their pending actions last week.
