Dow Jones Information Services Posts 13 Percent Drop In First Quarter Income

Dow Jones Telerate continues to gain ground overseas, and is even making a little headway in the U.S., according to Dow Jones' first quarter results. However, development costs tied to Telerate's Microsoft Corp. Windows-based version of Matrix, among other new products and technological upgrades, dragged Dow Jones' information services business' operating income down 13 percent from a year ago.
