Stop Press: Primark Corp. agreed to buy A-T Financial for $35 million. For full details, see next week's IMD.

Clarification: In an organization chart for Reuters' UKI in last week's Inside Market Data, we omitted one layer. Julie Holland, managing director of Reuters Information in UKI, reports to Maurizio Pescosolido, managing director of GSO, Reuters Information, who reports to GSO chief executive Jean-Claude Marchand. Martin Cole, her counterpart for UKI Trading Systems, reports to Greg Meekings, managing director of GSO, Reuters Trading Systems, who also reports to Marchand.

The Nasdaq-Amex Market Group and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, Limited (SEHK) will provide free information--including share prices and portfolio tracking--about their respective markets on a new joint Web service. The site is at porttracker.nasdaq-sehk.com and can be accessed from www.nasdaq-amex.com and www.sehk.com.hk. The two markets have also formed a working team to develop broader cooperation on the sharing of technology and the dual-listing of stocks. The sale of Saturn Global Network Services to Ixnet, a subsidiary of IPC Information Systems, is now official. Ixnet, which paid £30 million for the company, originally announced in August (IMD, Aug. 17, 1998). Saturn provides end-to-end managed voice and data services and uses its managed network to provide private line, managed bandwidth and enhanced data services.

is planning to partner with Japanese corporation Financial Intelligence Support Company (FISCO) to provide Quote.com's QCharts and LIVE! Charts to the Japanese financial community. FISCO will be authorised to sell QCharts (which will be called LiveCharts Professional in Japan). An English language version of FISCO analysis will be available to Quote.com subscribers sometime in 1999. Quote.com will localize QCharts and LIVE! Charts into Japanese and integrate the Tokyo Stock Exchange feed into their services. FISCO provides real-time market information and analysis for the financial markets and is carried by Reuters, Quick, Bloomberg and Bridge.
