Buyside Says Mortgage-Backed Data Services Are Inadequate; PSA To Collect Whole Load Data

Investment managers on the "View from the Buyside" panel at the Public Securities Association's recent annual meeting gave mortgage-backed securities dealers a swift boot to the backside in the hope of eliciting more useful data services and analytic software. At the same time, the PSA announced an initiative to collect and distribute standardized information on the collateral (mortgages) backing securitized whole loan deals.
