SGX Readies Proximity Hosting
The service will be delivered via a partnership with local telecom firm SingTel, and will let trading firms house their servers in SinTel's local Expan datacenters.
Trade executions range from 4 to 12 milliseconds, but the proximity hosting will cut latency by at least four-fold.
SGX is offering proximity hosting in response to a growth in algorithmic trading in Asia, says Gan Seow Ann, SGX senior executive vice-president and head of markets. SGX is working to facilitate the growth of this market
