ICI Files Comment Letter On SEC's Proposed Year 2000 Readiness Rule

WASHINGTON--Last week, the Investment Company Institute asked the Securities and Exchange Commission not to extend its Year 2000 requirements to money managers and investment advisers. In March, the agency had proposed that broker/dealers and non-bank transfer agents file initial and follow-up progress reports regarding their Year 2000 readiness, and it asked financial institutions and trade groups whether it should require registered investment advisers and investment companies to file Year
