Tibco Software Reports First Quarter Revenue Soars; Margins Expand

PALO ALTO--Tibco Software reported $41.9 million in revenue for the first quarter ended February 28, an increase of 133 per cent over the same period in 1999, and a 26 per cent increase over the fourth quarter ended November 30.
Tibco reported a loss of $9.5 million for the quarter, compared with a $3.9 million deficit a year ago, and a $6.6 million loss in the fourth quarter. Tibco said that when non-cash charges from stock compensation and goodwill are eliminated, it had a profit of $1.2
