Pre-legal entity identifier (pre-LEI) data from the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) and the Netherlands' Kamer van Koophandel (KVK) has been added to the consolidated files of pre-LEI data that are available from the P-LEI.org website.

P-LEI.org provides consolidated files of data from pre-local operating units (pre-LOUs) that are updated daily and can be downloaded for free. P-LEI.org is a joint project of the non-profit standards organization GS1, the Corporation for National Research Initiatives (CNRI), FIX Protocol, and data standards and risk management consultancy Tahoe Blue.

Data from KVK went live on P-LEI.org on November 4 and data from the ISE went live on October 31. It is now included in the consolidated pre-LEI files with data from five other pre-LOUs that are operated by WM Datenservice, Swift and the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation, Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques, the London Stock Exchange, and Takasbank.

The organizations behind P-LEI.org intend to continue integrating data from new pre-LOUs as it becomes available. According to Ken Traub, Boston-based standards strategy consultant at GS1, P-LEI.org is ready to begin consolidating pre-LEI data from Russia's National Settlement Depository once it begins to issue files.

Traub adds that CNRI is developing a system for detecting situations where the same entity has received more than one pre-LEI code, and P-LEI.org hopes to share results. "This is an important data quality issue for the Global LEI System, and we hope to publish their results on P-LEI.org in the near future," he says.
