Man Group Leverages Ore Hill to Build Out Event-Driven Strategies
Man Group has obtained full ownership of Ore Hill Partners, a credit-focused, event-driven hedge fund based in New York. Man had already held a 50 percent stake in the firm after a 2008 agreement. The deal is expected to close by the end of the second quarter.
Man is using the investment to build out its event-driven strategies on its GLG platform, Man's discretionary investment management platform.
While Ore Hill, which has about $800 million under management, will remain as an investment
