Standard Chartered Turns To Tibco, Informix, Sun For Global FX Trading System Java Too

Standard Chartered Bank is set to build a global, intranet-based foreign exchange and money markets trading system, using Tibco's Enterprise Transaction Express (ETX) messaging middleware and database technology from Informix Software, according to a source close to the development. The system's browser-based front end will run Java applets, while the servers will come from Sun Microsystems--possibly state-of the art E10000 Starfire machines.
