Barclays Bags New Business With Global Offering

LONDON--Barclays Capital's FX Trader, a proprietary browser-based foreign exchange system for Barclays' corporate clients, has been gaining three or four new clients a week since its global launch in May. There are now more than 100 clients, with around 500 individual users.

Justin Bull, a managing director and head of e-commerce at Barclays Capital, says 70 percent of these new clients represent new business. Barclays has hired additional people to sell the system, he adds.
