Sources say that Hewlett-Packard and NeXT continue to discuss all kinds of things. On the one hand, there is the relatively modest goal of porting the NeXTstep operating environment to the hardware vendor's UNIX RISC processors. H-P has already agreed to run NeXTstep on its PCs (TST, April 19). On the other hand, sources say that Steve Jobs is trying to woo H-P into becoming the majority shareholder of NeXT Inc.
