NEW YORK--Although the market for digital data distribution platforms has reached maturity, significant sales did occur in the sector throughout 1998.
Simultaneously, sides are being taken in the desktop display arena, indicating a coming battle among Tibco's Marketsheet, Reuters' Kobra and Bridge Information Systems' Bridge Active1 packages.
The main contenders in the market data distribution world, Reuters' Triarch 2000 and Tibco's The Information Bus (TIB), made many of the headlines in 1998.
