Glencore Takes Tempest 2000 For Global Oil Derivatives Trading

Glencore International, an oil trading firm, has signed a licensing deal with US-based Triple Point Technology for the vendor's Tempest 2000 oil trading application suite.

Tempest 2000 will be used in Glencore's Singapore and London trading offices, which are linked via a common trading book. The company's Connecticut operation is run independently as a separate legal entity, but will also use the Triple Point software applications.

The company will use Tempest 2000 at a total of 150 positions
