Michael Gooch is leaving Reuters. Last year Gooch stepped down from his job as country manager for Hong Kong, a position he had held for five years. He was assigned an interim post handling special projects and was scheduled to relocate to Australia early this year to become Reuters' commercial manager there (D&IS, 23 October, 1995). However, Gooch has since decided to leave the company altogether. Sources say he is currently looking for other opportunities in Asia. Gooch declines to comment
